The Dufresne Collaborative was established to pay tribute to our love of iconic figures in the many fields of entertainment...from books, to films and television shows and everything in between, we strive to create world-class collectibles and replica pieces that honor the talented titans of showbusiness who have left lasting marks on all
The Dufresne Collaborative was established to pay tribute to our love of iconic figures in the many fields of entertainment...from books, to films and television shows and everything in between, we strive to create world-class collectibles and replica pieces that honor the talented titans of showbusiness who have left lasting marks on all of us through their amazing skill and imagination. And most importantly, all of our projects are for charity. We work with non-profit organizations that closely tie into the theme of our proposed project, so that we can hopefully make a positive change, while simultaneously creating symbols that will make collectors proud to own.
We all have our favorite authors, films and television shows, and we all know that feeling of being swept away by the amazing storytelling we experience when we're wrapped up in another world created for us...we experience the sights, sounds, and feelings of the characters, and it helps us better understand the "human condition". We root for the heroes, we empathize with the victims, and we despise the villains. Sometimes these stories make us want to be a better version of ourselves, or they inspire us to become something we never thought possible. Sometimes, even an entire era of our life is defined by the entertainment we experienced during that time. And when that era ends, we often look back on it with great fondness. Oftentimes, we find ourselves wanting to be CLOSER to the characters and the world created for us, because it reminds us of the way we felt and the magic we experienced. It's the reason we take tours of film sets, or vacations in the locale where our favorite TV show was filmed, or desperately seek an autograph from our favorite author.
That's where The Dufresne Collaborative comes in.

Our Mission
It starts with an idea. An idea of an artifact, a replica, or a talisman that summarizes our love for a story, character, or entertainment experience. Then we work with the original creators of the content to request permission to recreate the iconic piece. And most importantly, we identify a worthwhile cause or charity to be the benefact
It starts with an idea. An idea of an artifact, a replica, or a talisman that summarizes our love for a story, character, or entertainment experience. Then we work with the original creators of the content to request permission to recreate the iconic piece. And most importantly, we identify a worthwhile cause or charity to be the benefactor of proceeds from the project.
Once permission has been granted, we go to work bringing passionate artists and artisans together to create something bigger than the sum it's parts. Our passion for entertainment (books, films, television) is comprised of a group of artisans, masters of their craft, working together to create a limited edition (30 signed copies) reproduction of Andy Dufresne’s Bible from the movie “The Shawshank Redemption.” This work of art will incorporate artistry in the areas of writing, illustration, blacksmithing, lapidary sculpting, papermaking, and calligraphy to name a few. The final product of this effort will be available for sale to collectors, worldwide.

For our first project, we worked with beloved author, Stephen King to create a limited edition (30 signed copies) reproduction of Andy Dufresne’s Bible from the movie “The Shawshank Redemption.” We signed on amazing artists in the fields of illustration, metalsmithing, papermaking, and calligraphy to name a few. For our first project, we worked with beloved author, Stephen King to create a limited edition (30 signed copies) reproduction of Andy Dufresne’s Bible from the movie “The Shawshank Redemption.” We signed on amazing artists in the fields of illustration, metalsmithing, papermaking, and calligraphy to name a few. Purchase rights were offered by lottery to collectors and lovers of Stephen King's novella, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, as well as Frank Darabont's amazing film adaptation, which is consistently rated near the top of the American Film Institute's top 100 movies of all time!
The result of the project was nothing short of astounding. All of the talented collaborators on the project put forth their very best to create a truly beautiful production. And the best part, was we were able to make a sizeable donation to the Innocence Project, which works to free those who have been unjustly incarcerated.
